Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 4, 2026

The short version: BébéSitter helps you reach the sitters you already trust. Here's the agreement that covers it.

About these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the BébéSitter app and website (the "Service"), operated by BebeSitter LLC, a New York limited liability company ("BébéSitter," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What BébéSitter is

BébéSitter is a personal coordination tool for booking babysitting. It lets you add sitters you already know and trust, and send them a booking request by text message. When a sitter accepts, the request is confirmed. BébéSitter is not a marketplace, a staffing agency, or an employer. It does not find, screen, recruit, vet, or recommend sitters, and it does not introduce you to people you do not already know.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent, guardian, or caregiver to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the activity that happens under it.

Adding sitters and consent

You add sitters using contact information you already have. By adding a sitter, you confirm that you have a genuine relationship with that person and a reasonable basis to contact them about babysitting. BébéSitter does not text a sitter you add. Instead, the app opens your own personal messaging app with an invitation that you send from your own phone. That invitation contains a link to our enrollment page at bebesitter.com/sitter, where the sitter enters their own mobile number and checks an unchecked consent box. Only after they complete that form does BébéSitter send them any message. They can reply STOP at any time to opt out. You agree not to use the Service to send unwanted messages to anyone.

Messaging

Once a sitter has enrolled on our enrollment page, the Service sends them transactional text messages to coordinate bookings — an enrollment confirmation, a booking request, reminders about a confirmed booking, and a note when a request is filled. Replying YES to a booking request means accepting that booking; it is not how consent is given. Message frequency varies based on how often you request care. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can reply HELP for help or STOP to unsubscribe. For the full consent flow, see How Sitters Opt In. For more on how we handle messaging data, see our Privacy Policy.

Calendar and notifications

With your permission, the Service writes confirmed bookings to your calendar and reads your calendar on your device to identify evenings that may need a sitter. Your calendar contents are never transmitted to us. With your permission, the Service also sends you notifications about your bookings. You can change or revoke either permission at any time in your iPhone Settings. The Service continues to function without them; only the related features stop.

Your account and deleting it

You may delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes your account and sign-in, every child profile including any photos you added, every sitter you added, and every booking and its history. We retain the de-identified consent records for the sitters you invited, because messaging regulations require us to be able to demonstrate that every recipient consented; those records no longer identify you. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full. Deleting your account does not cancel an active Apple subscription — you must cancel that separately in your App Store account settings.

Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store under the pricing shown at purchase, and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your own arrangements with your sitters — including vetting them, agreeing on rates, supervising the care of your children, and any payment between you and a sitter. BébéSitter is a messaging and coordination tool only, is not a party to those arrangements, and does not process payments between you and a sitter.

No guarantee

The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that a sitter will be available, will accept a request, or will arrive as expected, and we are not responsible for the conduct, reliability, or qualifications of any sitter. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BebeSitter LLC and its members, managers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service, or for the acts or omissions of any sitter or other user. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
