You name the sitters you trust. After that, Bébé does the asking.

How BébéSitter works

You add the sitters you already know. When you need one, you tell Bébé the night. She texts every sitter on your list at the same moment, and the first to say yes is confirmed on the spot. Everyone else hears the night is covered. The booking lands on your calendar and theirs.

Adding a sitter

Open Sitters and add the sitter's name. BébéSitter gives you a private invite link to send from your own Messages app. Your sitter opens the link, enters their own mobile number, and agrees to receive texts. Only then does BébéSitter text them. You will see them move from Invited to Enrolled on your Sitters list. The full consent flow is documented at How Sitters Opt In.

A sitter is still showing as Invited

That means they have not finished the enrollment page yet. Send the invite link again from Messages. If it still does not take, email us and we will look at it with you.

Do my sitters need to install anything?

No. Your sitters get a text, the way you already talk to them. The only thing they add is the booking, straight into their calendar.

Nobody has replied yet

Sitters answer on their own time, and a request stays open until someone says yes or you close it. Open the booking to send it again, change the night, or take it back.

Calendar access

BébéSitter asks for calendar access so it can write confirmed bookings to your calendar, and so Bébé can notice the nights you have plans and no sitter yet. Your calendar is read on your device only. Its contents are never sent to our servers. You can change this permission at any time in the iPhone Settings app, under Privacy & Security, then Calendars.

Your children's information

Allergies, medications, bedtime routines, emergency contacts, and anything else you add to a child profile are stored so they can be handed to whoever is sitting, exactly when they need them. Photos you add to a child profile are visible only to you, never to a sitter. That information does one job. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never sent to a third-party tracker. Our Privacy Policy has the full detail.

Managing your subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Apple. To view, change, or cancel one, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Deleting your account

Open Settings inside the app and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your account and sign-in, every child profile including any photos you added, every sitter you added, and every booking and its history. It cannot be undone.

One thing stays. We keep the consent records for the sitters you invited — the proof that they agreed to receive texts. Your name is removed from those records; only the sitter's agreement remains. We are required to keep that proof, so it survives your account. If you would rather we handle the deletion for you, email hello@bebesitter.com from the address on your account.

For sitters

Why did I get a text from this number?

A parent you know added you to their personal sitter list and invited you. BébéSitter only texts a sitter after they have opened that parent's invite link, entered their own mobile number, and agreed to receive messages. If you did not do that and you are receiving texts, reply STOP and email hello@bebesitter.com so we can look into it. All our messages come from (646) 566-5224.

What do I reply?

Reply YES to take the booking, or NO if you are busy. A simple no is a complete answer, all by itself. The first sitter to reply YES gets the night, and everyone else is told it is covered. You will get a confirmation text either way.

How do I stop receiving texts?

Reply STOP to any message and you will not receive another one. Reply HELP for contact information. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

I said yes and now I cannot make it

Reply BAIL to the confirmation text. The parent is told right away and the booking reopens to the other sitters on their list, so nobody is left guessing.

What information does BébéSitter have about me?

Your name and your mobile number, given by the parent and confirmed by you, plus a record of your consent and your replies. That is all. To have your information removed, email hello@bebesitter.com.
