How Sitters Opt In

A sitter receives no messages from BébéSitter until they text YES to confirm.
About BébéSitter text messages
BébéSitter is a personal babysitting coordination app for parents. Parents add sitters they already know and trust. Sitters receive text messages only — they do not use the app — and every sitter must give express consent by text before receiving any booking messages. This page documents the full consent flow so it can be independently reviewed.
All messages are sent from BébéSitter's registered number, (646) 566-5224.
The consent flow
Step 1 — A parent adds a sitter
Inside the BébéSitter iOS app, a parent adds a babysitter from their personal contacts by entering the sitter's name and mobile phone number. A screenshot of the Add Sitter screen appears below this page's content.
Step 2 — The sitter receives a one-time opt-in text
BébéSitter sends the sitter this single opt-in message. No further messages are sent until the sitter replies YES.
"BébéSitter: [Parent Name] added you as a trusted babysitter and would like to text you when they need care. Reply YES to confirm you agree to receive these messages. Msg frequency varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Terms: bebesitter.com/terms Privacy: bebesitter.com/privacy Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
Step 3 — The sitter consents by replying YES
A sitter who does not reply YES receives no further messages of any kind. Upon replying YES, the sitter receives a one-time confirmation:
"BébéSitter: You're confirmed. You'll get a text when [Parent Name] needs a sitter. Reply STOP anytime to opt out, HELP for help."
What opted-in sitters receive
Once a sitter has opted in, they may receive transactional booking texts when their parent needs care. These are the only ongoing messages BébéSitter sends. Example:
"BébéSitter: [Parent Name] needs a sitter [Date] [Time]. Available? Reply YES to accept — first yes gets it. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
Opting out and getting help
A sitter can reply STOP at any time to stop all messages. They can reply HELP for assistance, or email us at hello@bebesitter.com.
"BébéSitter: You're unsubscribed and will get no more messages. Reply START to resubscribe."
"BébéSitter: Babysitting booking coordination. Help: hello@bebesitter.com. Reply STOP to unsubscribe."
